Katie-Rose brought in her carpet bowls. The children were very keen to find out how these bowls were used and how the game was played.

We found out that these bowls are not the same size or shape as ‘bowling alley’ bowls. They don't have any finger holes and there is a special way of letting go of the bowl to make it roll and turn.

When you play carpet bowls there are other things like the spinner and the jack.

Katie-Rose started playing bowls this year. She is a member of South Tyrone Youth. Her mum and dad play bowls, so she knows what do to.

Katie-Rose says that it is a good hobby and she likes it because it is different.
