R is for RESPECT
11th Nov 2025
Primary 4 children were discussing the meaning of RESPECT.
They came up with ways of showing respect at school, at home and in public places.
Their suggestions were linked to:
- showing empathy
- showing a kindness to others
- being helpful to someone
- remembering to show our manners
- caring for our possessions
- looking after our environment
- being a good friend
- being honest
- behaving appropriately in places like cinema, chapel, shops
We discovered that all these things are linked. So being RESPECTFUL is something that we do many times each day.
The children gave suggestions as to how they can show RESPECT and they made posters to share these ideas with the wider school community.
