On Monday, we welcomed Edel from REIM, to deliver an exciting and experiential workshop for P5, P6 and P7 pupils using the power of virtual reality.
REIM are the designated training provider for SchooVR. SchooVR is pioneering a new way to learn by providing teachers and pupils with tools that supercharge teaching and learning.
SchooVR will enable teachers to bring the world to the classroom by taking pupils on a range of virtual field trips related to their classroom topics.
The children were able to use VR technology to experience amazing virtual environments.They had the opportunity to learn about endangered animals from right across the world including Great White sharks, elephants, penguins and camels. They were able to explore their habitats and recognise the dangers which these animals face including climate change, pollution and destruction of their environment and food.
The children loved the practical nature of the workshop as did the members of staff! Please enjoy the photos below!
