Primary 7 visit Ulster American Folk Park

This term the Primary 7 class have been learning all about the Great Famine in Ireland. They have learnt about what life was like for people of Ireland, causes and effects of the famine, the Emigration of people from Ireland to America, Canada, England and Australia as well as the legacy which the Famine has left behend in Ireland and the world today. The children attended a 'Flight from the Famine' workshop ran by the Ulster American Folk Park which brought all of these aspects of our topic to life.
