On Wednesday, we welcomed Stephanie from 'Time Steps' to St Mary's Cabragh. Our P6 students were treated to a wonderful workshop all about the Titanic. Stephanie explained what life was like in the years before the Titanic and what conditions would have been like for those working on the ship. Students then had the opportunity to design and build their own little ship. They were given a range of materials and had to build a ship that would float. We then tested all these creations and added marbles, one by one, to test how much weight each boat could carry. The winning boat carried a massive 26 marbles!
