P1 have been on the most exciting adventure over the past few weeks! It all began when we were reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears—but when we turned the page… all the words had fallen off!
P1 decided they would become real authors and help Mrs Rafferty fill in the missing words. They used the pictures carefully to work out what should happen next—just like detectives!
But the biggest surprise came the following week…
When P1 walked into the classroom, there was a HUGE mess! Chairs were knocked over, porridge covered the floor and strands of golden hair were everywhere! We even found a mysterious note from Goldilocks. She explained that the Three Bears had chased her into our room and she was very sorry for the mess.
She asked P1 for help! The children made wanted posters, using brilliant drawings and super describing words and spread them all around the school so everyone could look out for her.
A few days passed and still no Goldilocks… so P1 came up with a clever plan. They decided to make some delicious porridge to tempt her out of hiding! First, they sequenced the instructions, then helped Mrs Rafferty cook a tasty pot of porridge. They even shared some with Mrs Lavery, Paula and Damian!
After lunch, P1 found a new note from Goldilocks thanking them for the yummy porridge. She even left a special treat before she headed back to the forest.
Before she left, P1 helped Goldilocks think about making safer choices.
