P6 Fun at St Ciaran's After-School Clubs!

5th Oct 2022

How lucky were Primary 6 yesterday? They got the opportunity to head to St Ciaran's after school to enjoy a range of activities led by the teachers in St Ciaran's College.

One group attended the Gymnastics Club. The theme of the Gymnastics programme is travel, balance and flight. The children had opportunities to develop basic floor skills and fundamental movement skills including balance, flexibility and co-ordination.

Another group attended the Technology Club and began the process of making their own wooden flower pots, which they will eventually complete and take home. At the Technology Club, the children will have lots of opportunities to develop important skills, including using a range of woodwork tools safely and accurately.

The last group attended the Art Club. They enjoyed creating and designing their own monster using pencil and paper, which they will soon make out of clay. The children will have lots of opportunities over the coming weeks to develop a wide range of skills, including, creativity and problem solving.

These activities have been funded by the extended-schools programme and we extend a huge thank you to St Ciaran's for facilitating these brilliant programmes for the children in St Mary's!
