P5 Trip to Parkanaur

As part of our water project with the Speedwell Trust, P5 enjoyed a brilliant day out in Parkanaur.

The boys and girls completed a range of activities including:

  • Games to identify different species that live in water.
  • Getting into the River Torrent to test water velocity and depth.
  • Looking for different species in the Parkanaur pond as well as the River Torrent and examining what these species can tell us about water quality.
  • Creating our own water wheel.

We had a fantastic day of learning through lots of practical activities. A big thank you to Jodie and Miriam from the Speedwell Trust for delivering such a brilliant workshop!
