P5 Remote Learning

6th Feb 2021

Our fantastic Primary 5 Class have been very busy over these past few weeks engaging in their remote learning. The quality and consistency of work has been brilliant and you all should be proud of your efforts. Some of the areas we have been learning about include:

  • Maths - 3D Shape, Handling Data and number sequences.
  • Literacy - powerful verbs, character descriptions, adverbs and some poetry.
  • PE - Weekly lessons developing our fitness and skills whilst having fun.
  • WAU Topic of ‘Magnificent Machine’ - the human body, comparing different features of  athletes’ bodies, a collaborative project on the systems, organs and bones of the human body, the importance of food as fuel and a science experiment on burning fuel!
  • Art - 2D shape, creating ‘Things I’m Looking Forward To’ jars, paper origami and 3D temporary art expressing our identities.
  • RE - Catholic Schools Week and St Brigid.
  • PDMU - exploring our emotions, behaviours and thoughts.

Primary 5 have met the challenges of online learning and succeeded in all aspects. Huge credit to each of them and their families.

Here is just a snapshot of some of our wonderful achievements and contributions!
