P4 Remote Learning

4th Feb 2021

Our lovely P4 children have been very busy over these past few weeks using many resources to engage in their remote learning. Well done to each and everyone of you!

They have been exploring the WAU topic, Weather Watchers.  The children have used online tools to find out about weather in different parts of our world. What makes weather?

They have designed a winter outfit, suitable for our Irish weather. That in itself is a task!

Their most recent WAU task was to access NewsDesk and explore  Breakfast In Different Countries.

The children learned  that the meals on offer rely on the  crops grown in these countries. A healthy crop  relies upon the right  weather conditions.

In Literacy one focus has been on using adjectives in their writing to help the information POP.

P4 have been using story boards in their creative writing and used a  variety of methods to  record answers, offer book reviews, share recounts of their weekend.

In Numeracy the big focus has been on learning to exchange in addition sums. The children have  watched  pre-recorded lessons and used coins as  ' place value materials'.

In Religion the children have been finding out about good and bad choices, how to show kindness, the importance of saying sorry. They continue sacrament preparation with learning new prayers and enjoying the love and protection of their families.

P4  have really embraced the challenges and rewards of interactive activities . A huge congratulations  and thanks to all our children and their families who are supporting them.

Here is a just a flavour of the super achievements and contributions from P4 children.
