Primary 1 had the most magical day exploring Parkanaur Forest on a very exciting hunt for the Gruffalo! Working together in groups, the boys and girls collected special “ingredients” for our Gruffalo potion and carefully attached them to our clipboards. Along the way, we spotted wonderful signs of spring, including tadpoles, buds and beautiful blooming flowers.
Our adventure was full of surprises as we discovered letters from the Gruffalo characters—Mouse, Owl, Fox and Snake! We completed lots of fun challenges too, like building a log pile house for Snake and creating a cosy nest for Owl. We even enjoyed listening to the Gruffalo story while sitting among the trees.
It was truly a memorable day, and Mrs Rafferty was so impressed by how well-behaved, enthusiastic and curious all the boys and girls were. Well done, P1!
