Today our Student Council led a very special School Assembly.
The theme of today’s Assembly was Our Lady and the Rosary, to celebrate Mary’s month, the month of May.
During our Assembly we explored the importance of Mary as the mother of Jesus and how to pray the Rosary.
May is the month when we traditionally focus on Mary and create a ‘May Altar’ in our classrooms and homes to pay tribute to Mary. Our Student Council invited our pupils to join in this lovely tradition and showed everyone what they need to create a beautiful May Altar.
The children are so excited to create their May Altars in school and at home.
During the month of May we will say special prayers to Mary and ask her to help us to stay close to her son Jesus and to try to live as Jesus shows us.
