P1 had such a wonderful first World Book Day in St Mary's. After a lovely morning reading books with their buddies, things took a turn for the worse!
When Mrs Rafferty came back from lunch she told us that someone had eaten all of her lunch and she was feeling super hungry.
We discovered a crime scene in our classroom with lots of clues, notes and footprints. We used magnifying glasses to examine all the clues that had been left behind. Was it the Gruffalo? The fox? The mouse? The snake? Or the owl?
We talked about each of the suspects and read the notes they had left for us. Then we made our own wanted posters and drew who we thought the lunch thief might be.
Finally, we cast our votes on the Jit2 app to decide who we believed stole the lunch. We still don't know who stole Mrs Rafferty's lunch but keep a look out for the suspects and hold your lunch boxes extra tight!!
