Little Gardeners at work in P1!

30th Apr 2026

Our Primary 1 pupils have been getting hands-on with nature as they enjoyed planting activities linked to their learning about Spring. They explored seeds of different textures and sizes while learning what plants need to grow, including soil, water, sunlight and care. The children planted carrot seeds and spring onions and are already eagerly looking forward to tasting the results in the coming weeks!

While planting flowers, the pupils also learned about the different parts of a flower, including the roots, stem, leaves and petals. Through discussion and practical experiences, they developed a deeper understanding of how flowers grow and why each part is important. Well done, boys and girls!
