During the past 6 weeks, the Primary 7 class have been taking part in the Young Newsreaders Critical Literacy Project produced by The Irish News in collaboration with St Mary's UC Belfast.
This has been a fantastic project that allowed the children to receive a kids copy of The Irish News ever Wednesday and examine aspects such as report writing, use of alliteration and puns in headlines, the audience that certain articles, features and advertisements are aimed at as well as catching up on the weekly news across N.Ireland.
The children and their teacher really enjoyed taking part in the project and today they each received a certificate as a mark of completion
