Foundation Stage Celebrate World Maths Day!

On Wednesday, we took part in World Maths Day! World Maths Day is a Worldwide celebration and provides children with an opportunity to engage in maths activities in a fun and exciting way.

Primary 1 were learning all about measure. They had to estimate, measure and record the length and height of different Spring themed objects using non-standard units of measure. They also enjoyed some practical adding within 5 activities. P1 loved their first ever World Maths Day in St Mary's.

On World Maths Day Primary 2 were learning to measure using different objects, We had a great practical lesson measuring the body parts to find the 'bad guy' who was stealing from primary 2. He was a very unusual looking creature. We really enjoyed it.
