This week's school value focus is E for EQUALITY.
Primary 6 took their learning outdoors to explore the concept of equality.
We discussed the ideas of fairness and equality—how they differ, how they overlap and why both are important. Using real-life scenarios from the classroom and beyond, we explored situations where things might be equal, fair or both.
We then shifted our focus to understanding individual needs and differences. Through a team game, we explored how activities can be adapted to ensure everyone can take part, regardless of their challenges. The children showed great creativity in suggesting thoughtful adaptations based on the scenarios presented.
Equality is a key value and we now have a deeper understanding of what it means and why it matters.
