What a fantastic day of netball was had at St Mary’s today at our annual Cabragh Cup netball tournament! We hosted teams from local schools including: Glencull, Galbally, Derrylatinee, Donaghmore, Aughnacloy and Aughadarragh.
Throughout the tournament, we witnessed fantastic netball skills and great sportsmanship from all teams. Each and every girl was a credit to their schools. The competition ran so smoothly thanks to our fabulous netball referees; thank you Caoimhe and Anna for all your help!
Well done to all the teams who took part. A special word of congratulations to Glencull who defeated Derrylatinee in the Una Hackett Shield and to Donaghmore who edged out the Cabragh girls in a thrilling Joe Sheehan Cup final. Two super games of netball played in great spirit!
Thank you to all staff who helped make the day a huge success. From planning fixtures, co-ordinating games, refereeing, keeping scores, ordering and collecting medals, making tea and food and looking after our visiting schools. Thank you!
