To help support our Primary 7 pupils as they prepare to transition to Post-Primary, we were delighted to welcome REIM to St Mary’s to deliver a Pupil Workshop and Parent/Pupil Workshop on Tuesday 2nd May 2023.
The ‘Boundaries and Transitions’ workshops provided both the parents and pupils with the skills and knowledge to communicate effectively with each other throughout the transition period, focusing on both offline and online activity, at a time when children are exploring their independence.
The children enjoyed the interactive workshop which helped to equip them with the tools and skills needed, to deal with any stress or anxiety that transitioning to Post- Primary might bring.
The Pupil/Parent workshop was also very worthwhile and explored a range of topics including the changing dynamic in families as pre-teens gain independence and responsibility.
