We are delighted to welcome back Mrs Diane Daly and Le Club Francais to St. Mary's! The boys and girls have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in their French Lessons with Diane!
Le Club Francais is a well established and very popular French Club for children from the age of 3 right up to 14. It provides the opportunity for children to learn French at an early and receptive stage of their development, when they are most able to reproduce the sounds of a foreign language without inhibition.
The language course has been carefully designed by linguists and educational psychologists and is constantly being upgraded and developed. Throughout the levels of the club, the children are introduced to both the language and culture of France with the aid of games, drama and varied activities as well as the ever popular game zone Babelzone.
Experience has shown that as a result of attending Le Club Francais on a regular basis, children can progress to secondary level with an acquired taste for French language and culture and therefore a higher degree of confidence. They will also have developed linguistic skills which will make learning another language much easier.
